GRF BUS TRIP The Recreation Department will conduct a GRF bus trip to the Nixon Presidential Library and Museum on Wednesday, March 5. Based on the 19th century novel of the same title by Herman Melville, this riveting story was set to music by Jake Heggie with a libretto by Gene Scheer. More than simply an adventurous whale hunt for boys, this tale will be introduced by President Margaret Gillon

At the LW Gong Club show on Jan. 31, the first guest was a video clip from an old Jonny Carson show, and then many other favorites followed. Club President Lu DeSantis was able to include the audience in segments such as the Chicken Dance, the Gene/ Jean dancing team and everyone’s favorite party song, “Tequila.” The LW Bicycle Group joined in with a group act titled “100 Bottles of Wine On

Local favorites South Side Jazz will perform Monday, Feb. 17, from 6-8:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 4, sponsored by the Leisure World Wine Lovers Club. The band will perform a special Valentine’s Day set of romantic and danceable standards from the golden age of jazz. The band has entertained crowds across Leisure World for three years. Admission is free, and tips are greatly appreciated. All are welcome
