The southbound I-405 off ramp to Seal Beach Boulevard opened on Oct. 21. It had been closed for about a month as part of the 405 Freeway Improvement Project. Considering the recent occurrences, SBPD has provided the following security tips. • Keep golf carts and bicycles in well lit areas and/or in front of motion-activated flood lights. If possible, consider keeping bicycles in enclosed areas such as locked sheds or indoors.

Payment equipment upgrades are coming to the municipal paid parking lots in Seal Beach. The parking lots along Main Street currently feature single-space parking meters, which will be removed and replaced with pay stations. Products such as paints, cleaners, oils, batteries and pesticides that contain potentially hazardous ingredients require special handling when residents dispose of them.
