SUBMIT QUESTIONS The GRF Board invites all residents to attend a Community Forum (aka Town Hall) with newly appointed GRF Executive Director David Norvell, CMCA, AMS, PCAM, on Friday, Jan. 30, from 2-4 p.m. in Clubhouse 4. This forum will give residents an opportunity to learn more about Norvell’s vision for Leisure World, along with his professional background and leadership approach.

Tournament Poker Club to play Saturday in CH 6


Those who would like to play a fun and friendly game of Texas Hold ‘Em for a $5 buy-in should make plans to play with the Tournament Poker Club on Saturday, Jan. 17. Regular tournaments are held on the first three Saturdays of every month and start at 10 a.m. with registration and cards in the air at 10:30. There is a no late seating policy for tournament play, as events are at seating capacity.

The Yahtzee Club will meet Friday, Jan. 16, in the Clubhouse 3 Lobby at 2 p.m. There will be a halftime social to interact with neighbors. The club meets the first, third and fifth Fridays of each month. Bring small bills. Leisure Leggers walk Mondays


Leisure Leggers’ founder and president Tom Pontac came in first in his age group at the Run in the New Year 5K event. At 89 years old, Pontac’s motto is “old age isn’t for sissies!” The Leisure Leggers is one of Leisure World’s oldest walking/ running clubs. Started in 2000 by Pontac, the Leggers goal is to inspire fitness by developing the athlete within. The group meets every Monday
