The Summer 2025 Leisure World NOCE semester begins on June 2 and ends on Aug. 1. Students will need to register for classes beginning on Tuesday, April 29, at 8 a.m. The full list of NOCE classes offered inside of LW can be picked up at the library or be found in people’s email inbox if they subscribe to LW Live emails. New and returning students will be able to register for the summer semester

FIRE: 5 • March 1, 12:35 a.m., Mutual 3 Ongoing calls from a resident who smelled smoke. Orange County Fire Authority arrived at the scene but did not find fire or smoke. • March 8, 6:49 p.m., Mutual 10 A resident left a pot on stove that caused smoke, but no fire.

by Mary Larson LW contributor Leisure World Democrats joined over 1,500 attendees at Congressman Dave Min’s first town hall gathering on March 20 in Newport Beach. A report on the meeting is included in the club’s April 1 newsletter on the club’s website. In other news, Min has joined Sen. Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) in introducing the Special Government Employees Transparency Act of 2025.

Mutual 4 will hold Escape to Italy: A Night of Fine Dining and Fun on Wednesday, April 16, from 5-8 p.m. in Clubhouse 2. Residents are invited to indulge in a delicious Italianinspired meal while enjoying the company of friends and neighbors. For more information, contact a Mutual 4 director.

The Woman’s Club of LW will hold Tabletop Games on April 18, from noon-4 p.m. in Clubhouse 2. LW residents are invited to enjoy an afternoon at the Tabletop Games and bring and/or join any game they enjoy. Regular game play includes Canasta, Rummikub, bridge, Mexican Train, Scrabble, or any other game people enjoy. Everyone is asked to donate $1 to help support the Woman’s Club philanthropies.
