Saturday Morning Dance Class

The Saturday Morning Dance Club hosts two dance classes every week in Clubhouse 6 on the second floor. In June the classes are waltz at 9 a.m., followed by foxtrot at 10 a.m. Each class is $7 per person. Participants vote on new dance topics every month. Prior dance experience is not necessary, and partners are not required. For more information, contact Howard Small at 516659-3314.

All are invited to join singers and audience members at the club’s weekly karaoke nights, held in Clubhouse 1 on Wednesday evenings from 5:30-9:30 p.m. On June 11, gospel tunes were sung by David Noble and Bob Barnum. Ray Geierman remembered Dean Martin’s birthday by singing his hits.

Korean American Association presents annual GAF donation

The Korean American Association of Leisure World Seal Beach (KAA) presented its annual donation to the Golden Age Foundation (GAF) of $1,000. The KAA has been a consistent donor since 2016, when it was formed to foster Korean cultural activities. Since COVID impacted everyone in LW, especially clubs, annual donations decreased, and the GAF did not expect many donations from community organizations.
