Shuffleboard St. Patrick’s party plans in the works


The Shuffleboard Club St. Patrick’s Day potluck will be held on Tuesday, March 17, in Clubhouse 3, Room 1, from 5-9 p.m. A special bingo game will be played after dinner. Members are encouraged to don “the wearing of the green.” The potluck is always a favorite for members, who each year enjoy Jack O’Brien’s corned beef, which he prepares at home in advance and transports to the clubhouse.

The LW Chess Club meets every Friday in Clubhouse 3, Room 7, from 1-4:30 p.m. Beginners lessons are available. LW Pool Club

LW Pool Club


On Feb. 28, the LW Pool Club held its annual 10-ball tournament in Clubhouse 2. There were 12 two-person teams playing seven rounds. Ten ball is the most difficult game the club plays. Players have to shoot the lowest ball on the table and call the pocket on every shot. If the 10 ball goes in on the break, a player doesn’t win the game— the 10 is spotted up. Tournament Poker Club crowns Player of the Year from top 23


On Feb. 28, the 2025 final table winners of the Tournament Poker Club competed for Player of the Year honors. Every year the club has a special invitation-only tournament for those players who won a final table during the previous year.
