The Mexican Train Dominoes Club meets every Thursday at 5 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 4. The object of the game is for a player to play all the tiles from his or her hand onto one or more trains emanating from a central station.

Thirty teams of one man and one woman teed off at the 1,680-yard par 54 Turtle Lake Golf Course on July 16 for the Guys and Gals Tournament. Each team competed for best net scores, plus four circle hole and two closest to the pin challenges. After a few holes, the overcast weather thinned, allowing 23 of the 30 teams to score net at or below par. There were seven circle hole winners, and 46 birdies.

Golfers from the Leisure World men’s and women’s golf clubs wanting to play in the July 30 shotgun scramble tournament can sign up at Tuesday and Wednesday golf tournaments, continuing until July 29 or sellout. Five golfers of the Leisure World Men’s Golf League challenged the Willowick Golf Course in Santa Ana on July 11. With its length, challenging fairways and difficult rough Willowick challenges everyone. This round two of the five players shot at or below net par, and there were no birdies.
