ROLLIN THUNDER CLUB On Aug. 4, the Rollin’ Thunder Club will host a potluck picnic at Clubhouse 1 picnic area from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. The picnic will have a Mexican American theme with tacos, handmade beans and handmade Spanish rice as the entrée, as well as a variety of pot luck dishes brought by members. The price for tickets is $10 for Rolling Thunder members and $15 for non-members. The

Don’t miss the Korean talent showcase on Aug. 16


KOREAN AMERICAN ASSOCIATION The Korean American Association (KAA) will host a night of entertainment celebrating Korean heritage on Saturday, Aug. 16, at 7:30 p.m. in the Amphitheater. For the first time, a rock version of the Korean National Anthem will be performed. The night will also feature 10 talented Leisure World clubs that will show the best of their talents and unique culture.

Dr. Steve Sherman is a retired physician and was first licensed as Ham radio operator at the age of 14, becoming interested in emergency communications and talking to people all over the world using his amateur radio skills. His wife, Mary, is a former Leisure World doctor. Steve has been involved in teaching Ham radio classes and always encourages people to get their license, not only for emergencies,

SUNSHINE CLUB The Sunshine Club hosted a members picnic with catering from California Pizza Kitchen on July 19. Dave Noferi of Mutual 15 played an accordion with Italian, French, Latin and English songs, including "God Bless America." The members of Sunshine Club enjoyed being outdoors to spend time together. The club extends a special thanks to Sigrun Rog - ers, who picked up the sandwiches
