HOSPITALITY Mutual 15 resident Albert Reid was surprised on June 11 with A Great Day party, celebrated in the Hospitality Room. As part of the celebration, every person who came into the Hospitality Room received a treat of a slice of cake, a piece of apple pie or a mini cupcake. Debbi Fudge provided the treats and noted “Al is nearing 90. Every day in his life now is certainly a great day.

Korean American Association  presents annual GAF donation

Korean American Association presents annual GAF donation


The Korean American Association of Leisure World Seal Beach (KAA) presented its annual donation to the Golden Age Foundation (GAF) of $1,000. The KAA has been a consistent donor since 2016, when it was formed to foster Korean cultural activities. Since COVID impacted everyone in LW, especially clubs, annual donations decreased, and the GAF did not expect many donations from community organizations.

Japanese American Club

Japanese American Club


The Japanese American Club of Leisure World will meet on June 21 at 11:30 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. A bento box lunch will be available for $15 for members and $20 for nonmembers During the meeting, there will be a demonstration of the Japanese tea ceremony, a cherished tradition that embodies Japanese culture, aesthetics, and hospitality. Residents are welcome to join the Japanese American Club
