The Leisure World Coin Club will meet Wednesday, June 8, at 1:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. The program will feature a “show and tell” session, during which everyone can show off their favorite part of their collection. Guest dealers will be on hand to buy and sell. A coin auction will close the meeting. All members are welcome, masked or unmasked.

The Velvetones Ballroom Dance Orchestra, Leisure World’s own professional big band, will play swing and jazz standards on Sunday, June 5, at 6 p.m. in Clubhouse 4. Under the direction of Jeff Plum, the band performs music for dreaming and dancing, from well-known standards to contemporary pop hits. The band will also play June 19. The Friends of the Library Bookstore is now open Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Donations of CDs, DVDs, puzzles and gently used items to be sold in the boutique are welcome.
