The monthly LW Pool Club tournament was held on Sept. 23 in Clubhouse 2. There were 12 teams playing seven games of eight ball against different opponents. Bunco is an easy dice game and a lot of fun. The Monday Night Bunco Club meets the second and fourth Mondays of every month in Clubhouse 3, Room 1. Play begins at 6 p.m. sharp. On Sept. 27 the Leisure World Men’s Golf Club played its second September tournament at the Turtle Lake Golf Course. The weather was cool at the 7:30 a.m. start but turned into a sunny and warm morning. The course continues to be in good condition with no dramatic wet spots or weed patches on the greens, plus it appears the divot fix bottles now have seed in them. Two groups of three flights

On Sept. 22, 10 golfers competed at the 5,600-yard, par-71 Meadowlark Golf Course in Huntington Beach. This is a medium size course with elevation changes, numerous water hazards, and several turtleback greens. The course favors the straight hitters due to tree lined fairways, long par 3’s and several over 450-plus yard par 5’s. Scores were higher than usual reflecting the course difficulty
