FILIPINO ASSOCIATION OF LEISURE WORLD The Filipino Association of Leisure World held its first meeting of the year on Jan. 14. President Anna Wayman acknowledged the January birthday celebrants and named the new board of directors and their president. Plans for the next Veterans Day picnic were announced.

American Legion Auxiliary’s meeting featured a new member initiation and a demonstration from Working Dogs for Warriors (WDFW). Representing the group was a program director, a trainer, a veteran with his dog and another dog in training. WDFW is a California 501(c)3 nonprofit founded in 2011. These rescue dogs are trained and paired with veterans afflicted with military connected trauma. WDFW
