LW Pool Club retains 8-Ball Challenge trophy


The Leisure World Pool Club welcomed Laguna Woods on June 29 for the annual summer contest. After a lunch at noon, the rules were gone over and play began at 1:15. At stake was the trophy Seal Beach won from Laguna Woods last fall. The game played is always eight ball. Teams were divided into three categories: A, B and C players. There were rounds of singles in each category and alternating rounds

The Shuffleboard Club invites everyone to come play. The club provides all necessary equipment. The only requirement is closed-toe shoes must be worn to play. The courts building, located behind Clubhouse 1 on Burning Tree Lane, will be open for the month of July per chart at right. Most games start on the hour. Arriving a few minutes before the hour facilitates getting assigned to a foursome.
