The Coin Club will meet Aug. 14 in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, at 1:30 p.m. Members can participate in door prizes, refreshments, coin auctions, coin raffles, and group discussions regarding currency and coins. Refreshments are provided. Leisure World residents can have coins evaluated at no cost.

Astronomy Lectures

People interested in learning more about space, celestial bodies and how the universe works are invited to join free lectures taught by LW resident and retired physics/astronomy teacher Jim Johns on Fridays at 10 a.m. via Zoom. Johns gives PowerPoint presentations on astronomy and cosmology. New topics are introduced weekly and there is a question and answer session after each presentation.

GAF The Golden Age Foundation (GAF) is resurrecting its biggest fundraiser of the year, the Walk and Roll-A-Thon. Luau-Dinner Dance is Sept. 7

FILIPINO ASSOCIATION OF LEISURE WORLD The Filipino Association of Leisure World (FALW) will celebrate its annual luau-dinner dance on Saturday, Sept. 7, in Clubhouse 2 at 5:30 p.m. All residents are invited to attend this joyous celebration and experience the Pacific Islanders lifestyle.
