GOLDEN AGE FOUNDATION The Golden Age Foundation (GAF) has been loaning rollators, wheelchairs, transport chairs and walkers to Leisure World residents for many years. Equipment is loaned at no charge through the GAF’s mobility aids program. The GAF is currently in short supply of rollators (walkers with four wheels attached) and other mobility aids. REPUBLICAN CLUB The GOP booth near Clubhouse 6 will be open every Monday and Wednesday in August with Trump yard signs and red hats, American and Israeli flags, plus powerful and amusing political buttons. One button features the Republican red, white and blue elephant and the words “I am the elephant in the room.” Another button says, “Raised Republican. Thanks I can help myself.”

It is likely that political canvassers will be active through Election Day. The GRF cannot legally keep citizens from entering Leisure World and going door-to-door to get out the vote. In 2002, the Supreme Court struck down a law that banned canvassing without a permit, even in gated communities.
