Enjoy live jazz and swing on Sept. 1


WEEKEND DANCES The Velvetones Ballroom Dance Orchestra will perform Sunday, Sept. 1, at 6 p.m. in Clubhouse 4. They are Leisure World’s own professional big band, playing big band swing and jazz standards under the direction of Jeff Plum. The Velvetones play at Clubhouse 4 on the first and third Sunday evenings at 6 p.m. People are invited to grab their dancing shoes and join the fun.

Hula dancers available for birthdays, social events


Hula is fun and its workout is gentle. Newcomers are encouraged to take lessons. Classes meet every Tuesday upstairs in Clubhouse 6 and every Thursday outdoors at Veterans Plaza.
