GOLDEN AGE FOUNDATION The AARP Tax Program, sponsored by the Golden Age Foundation (GAF), will open on March 8, subject to GRF Board approval on Feb. 23. The AARP program will help LW residents file income tax returns. Appointments will be available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings through April 14. Appointments are required; no walk-ins are allowed due to COVID-19 restrictions.

A special election for an open seat on the Orange County Board of Supervisors will be held March 9. Voters will decide who will replace outgoing Michelle Steel on the Orange County Board of Supervisors, 2nd District. Steel resigned to be sworn into Congress. Candidates are Kevin Muldoon, a small businessman and councilman; John Moorlach, a former state senator who used to represent the 2nd District
