Dancers & Mixers Club


A Dancers & Mixers Club dance will be held Tuesday, Sept. 2, in Clubhouse 4 from 7-9 p.m. The club will celebrate its 43th birthday this month. The dances feature live music for ballroom dancing. Ballroom dancing is a great way to get out of the house, meet new people, all the while getting light exercise and working on balance. Partners are not needed, as the club is a friendly group.

Metalsmithing class begins Sept. 3


LAPIDARY & JEWELRY CLUB The Lapidary & Jewelry Club is offering a metalsmithing basics class that will start Sept. 3 and run until just before Christmas. The ongoing class will be held from 9 a.m.-noon on Wednesdays. Students will start with copper and transition to silver. People will learn techniques for cutting, shaping, filing and soldering different metals to make jewelry.

September is Library Card Sign-up Month and the LW Library is inviting all residents to visit the library for the first time or rediscover the incredible resource that is the LW Library and maybe win a great prize at the same time.
