Friday Golf Ten golfers from the Men’s Golf League played Oct. 28 at the always challenging 5,800yard, par 70 Riverview Golf Course in Santa Ana. Riverview has a large golf practice facility and a huge putting green. Its snack bar is always open. The course allowed just five of the 10 golfers to shoot net below par. hoses, among other drill activities. The goal of this exercise is to train firefighters from nearby stations, including Long Beach, on LW’s topography and building layout. LW Security and GRF Health and Safety Specialist Eloy Gomez will be on scene for traffic and pedestrian control. Residents are asked to stay away from the area, if possible, to minimize vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

In September, Laguna Woods traveled to Leisure World for lunch and a 48-game match. This renewed the competition between the two Leisure Worlds that was held in the early 2000s.
