An enthusiastic karaoke crowd of 37 singers entertained the audience March 8. A happy group joined their voices singing the Beatles hit “All My Loving.” Mariza Joaquin had Elena Aroz on her feet dancing to “Red River Valley,” sung by Nina Todorov. It will feature songs from notable shows such as “Les Mis,” “West Side Story,” “Jesus Christ Super Star” and many more. The show will start at a new time: 6:30 p.m. instead of 7, and the doors will open at 5:30. People are encouraged to bring their favorite

The U.S. Naval Academy Glee Club from Annapolis, Maryland, will perform a free concert on Friday, March 17, at 7 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 607 E. 3rd St. (at the corner of Atlantic Avenue), Long Beach. The 75 singers represent Midshipmen from all three vocal performing organizations at the Academy.

Under the direction of an inspirational art instructor in Monterey, Butterfield found her niche and successfully developed her own individual style by layering art materials
