Sign-ups for Shuffleboard Club spring league begin Feb. 10

Both morning and evening winter leagues approach the half-way mark for the winter season. Even though the winter league is the second season of the club year, the club continues to add new members, including four in the last 30 days: Bob Robarge of Mutual 15, Norb Walsh of Mutual 1, Steve Edrich of Mutual 6 and Fred Carpenter of Mtuual 14. Sign-up sheets for spring league will be available in the Courts

Monday Golf No golf was played due to inclement weather and poor golf course conditions at David L. Baker Golf Club on Jan. 16. Friday Golf On Jan. 20, 10 golfers confronted the 5,800-yard, par 70 Riverview Golf Course in Santa Ana. Temps were in the low 40s and the skies were clear, with no wind. Dale Williamson Aces Hole No. 1 at LW Men’s Golf Tournament, next games on Feb. 8

The Leisure World Men’s Golf Club Tournament was played on Jan. 25. After several cancellations due poor course conditions and rainy weather, it was nice to be back on the course with fellow golfers. It was a sunny but very cool at the 7:30 a.m. tee time. It warmed up nicely and ended up being a terrific morning to play golf. It seemed, however, the fairways needed cutting which kept short
