LW CERT Class


The next safety class provided by the LW Community Emergency Response Team (LW CERT) will be on Friday, Sept. 26, at 9 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 9. The topic for the class this month is titled “12 Ways to Get Prepared” and will teach residents how to be ready to face any emergency or disaster, taught by LW CERT President Catherine O’Brien.

EMERGENCY DRILL As many LW residents know, “You’re On Your Own” in the event of an emergency disaster. As an initiative to minimize risk, ensure safety and reduce calamity, Boots on the Ground practice an emergency preparedness plan two times a year in April and September. On Sept. 18 at 10 a.m., the group will hold the second drill of the year, which will take approximately 30-40 minutes.

Lost items can be turned in at the Decal Office located on the lower level of Building C, the two-story building behind the pharmacy. The most commonly lost items are keys and glasses, according to one Decal Office employee, but the office also collects purses, wallets, hearing aids, jewelry and more.
