Sept. 23 brought 28 women to the Leisure World golf course for the weekly tournament of the LW Women’s Golf Club. Play for the day was low gross, low net, and chip ins. Par for the course is 27. Each woman establishes a handicap. All women are invited to join the club. There are meetings, luncheons and special tournaments. Golfing is great exercise, and also a way to meet people and develop friendships.

December membership meeting is cancelled. The Democratic Club Hospitality Booth has a scheduling change during October. The booth will be open every Tuesday and the third and fourth Thursdays from 10:30 a.m.12:30 p.m. All are welcome to stop and visit with like-minded individuals, register to vote, change address, or change party affiliation. Members are available to help and answer questions.

Major AI chatbots were happy to help,” published on Sept. 15.
