The Salvation Army comes to LW Sept. 25 to pick up donations
On Wednesday, Sept. 25, the GRF and The Salvation Army will team up to fill six trucks with items donated by Leisure World residents. The trucks will be on site from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
The trucks will be located at six locations scattered throughout Leisure World: Clubhouse 1, 2 and 4, the Amphitheater, and at the corners of Fairfield and Oakmont, and St. John and Del Monte.

The American Latino Club will meet Friday, Sept. 13, from 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m. in Clubhouse 2 to celebrate Mexican Independence Day with Mariachi Real San Jose and an El Dia de los Muertos presentation by Julia Cervantes-Espinoza, a bilingual children’s book author. She will offer a presentation that merges a dynamic reading of her book “Calavera, Calavera, What do You See?” in an interactive,experience.

Members of Redeemer Lutheran and St. Theodore's Episcopal Church are participating in the annual "God's Work, Our Hands" project. On Sunday, Sept. 8 from 1-3 p.m., church members will be in the front of the church collecting non-perishable food items for the hungry in Orange County. GOLDEN AGE FOUNDATION
The Golden Age Foundation (GAF) will sponsor a Walk and Roll-A-Thon on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. starting in the Clubhouse 6 parking lot.
Participants must pre-register (see form below). Fill it out and drop it off at the metal box in Clubhouse 6, or people can mail them to PO Box 2369, Seal Beach, CA 90740.
