The Leisure World Cares Fund spoke at the Sept. 3 Leisure World Presidents Council meeting. The fund aims to provide a small but sustained and significant subsidy to residents who are on low fixed incomes to be put toward their Mutual homeowner’s fees. Increases in those fees have severely stressed this category of resident and the fund looks to those who are not as impacted by the increases to help

Animal lovers invited to the SBACC's Pets Ahoy Sept. 28 The Seal Beach Animal Care Center (SBACC) is hosting its annual food and wine event, “Pets Ahoy,” on Sept. 28, noon-3 p.m. Join fellow animal-lovers at the Seal Beach Yacht Club for impactful fundraising while enjoying conversation, food, music, prizes and a silent auction. The LW RV Club will meet Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 4 p.m. at the Clubhouse 2 picnic area for the club’s annual barbecue and potluck picnic.
