Shuffl eboard Club continues three league play


The Shuffleboard Club is fully into the spring season, with courts being utilized three days of the week as well as Mondays, which is now the only day utilized for practice and open play. Monday open play starts at 9 a.m. The next general membership meeting will be Thursday, May 8, at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 1, and elections will be held per the club’s bylaws. The Cribbage Club meets every Tuesday at noon in Clubhouse 1. Refreshments are served weekly from noon-12:15 and anyone arriving by 12:15 is assured a place to play. One dollar is collected from each player weekly and those finishing in the top four scores are awarded prize money the following week. Announcements are made, and then play begins at 12:30. Jack O’Brien earns top points at Shuffl eboard Club’s ham shoot challenge


The Shuffleboard Club held its annual ham shoot on April 16. It was a huge success with 32 people attending. Each of the six lanes were set up with a different challenge. On one lane, players had to hit the puck under the pig to score 10 additional points. In another lane, players had to hit blind under the shuffleboard sign, using their opposite hand. Tournament Poker Club

Tournament Poker Club


Those who would like to play a fun and friendly game of Texas Hold ‘Em with the Tournament Poker Club for a $5 buy-in should make plans to play on May 3 in Clubhouse 6. Regular tournaments are on the first three Saturdays of every month and start with coffee/treats and registration at 10 a.m. Cards are in the air at 10:30. There is no late seating.
