GRF President
One of the most important responsibilities of the GRF Board of Directors is adopting the annual budget. This process determines the assessment amounts for the coming year. Much like managing our own household finances, the GRF reviews income and expenses from the previous year to project what those numbers will be in the year ahead.

THANKSGIVING
Thanksgiving is the time of year to reflect on things we are grateful for, big and small—the Dodgers thrilling win of the 2025 World Series, a sunny day, good health, the company of families and friends, life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness.
The LW Weekly is working on a special section for the Nov. 27 Thanksgiving edition featuring a community gratitude list.

The Harvest Festival at the newly configured Community Gardens was a happy success on Oct. 25. There were 200-300 people roaming through the gardens, exclaiming about the variety of vegetables growing. Now, we really have to raise the funds for the plant stand that was in the original plan. It would hold extra produce donated for the neighborhood of Leisure World to come and take free extra fresh food

The GRF Recreation Department came through again in a big way. The first ever Harvest Festival was so much fun! The band was good.
The scavenger hunt got us all strolling through all the garden plots. They were varied and beautiful, filled with all kinds of vegetables and beautiful flowers.
There were free snacks and games, an auction—that we did not win, a canned food drive

On behalf of The Salvation Army, I would like to extend heartfelt thanks for hosting another fabulous donation drive on Oct. 11.
Thanks to the leadership of GAF President Anna Derby and the hard work of GAF volunteers, plus the generosity of the Leisure World community, the event was a tremendous success.
The drive brought in a remarkable volume of donated goods.
