The Gospel lesson for this week is from Matthew 21:33-46.

Again, Jesus calls out the religious leaders of his time with an image of a vineyard, but this one erupts in violence.

Christians should recognize the relationship of the parable to what happened to Jesus and the world. This message can also be a call to believers to look honestly at themselves by asking “How do I react when I hear something that doesn’t sit right with my views?”

Even in today’s age, God often prods believers out of their set ways and challenges them to change for the better.
