First Christian Church
First Christian Church of Leisure World teaches from God’s word, the holy Bible, verse by verse. It is a friendly church that welcomes all visitors to join in worship and explore God’s word together, “that we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine,” Romans 1:12.
Pastor’s Message
The word “serve” is frequently used by various writers in the Bible to describe the manner believers should be of service to the Lord and to his bride, the Christian church.
In the Old Testament, 1 Samuel 12:24 instructions people to have reverence for the Lord and serve him in truth, considering what great things he has done.
In Romans 12:1, the admonishment tells believers to “Be willing to be all in with our bodies, our life and with a holy sacrifice.” Romans 12:10-13 says, “Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord, rejoicing in hope, patient in affliction, devoted to prayer, contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality.” One way for believers to go about accomplishing these directives is to ask the Lord each morning, “Lord, how may I be of service to you today? Please direct my path.”
