Community Karaoke Club
The Community Karaoke Club holds weekly karaoke nights on Wednesdays from 5:30-9:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 1. Practice sessions are held Mondays in Clubhouse 6 from 1-3 p.m. The practice group is small and friendly, giving everyone a chance to experiment with new songs and build confidence. Everyone is welcome.
On Sept. 23, the club celebrated a favorite couple’s 60th wedding anniversary. Roger Damicog has been singing with the group for many years, and Elvis hits are his specialty. The club also welcomed new member Julie Roehrich, who has a powerful voice. Erika Greenwood loves singing country tunes, while Ren Villanueva always pleases the audience. Donna Bocoskey selected “Poor Side of Town,” and Donald Horning soothed with “Summer’s End.” It was a full house of bustling fun with 38 performers.
Throughout the 25 years of Leisure World karaoke, the club has celebrated many special occasions together. It is a happy place to gather to sing or to simply encourage others.
