Assembly of God

Leisure World Assembly of God meets on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. in the Clubhouse 3 Lobby.

Some people have an innate ability to be successful, while others can barely accomplish what it takes to survive. Setting aside disabilities or circumstances beyond one’s control, the amount of effort and attention one gives to a task is usually in direct relation to the amount of return one receives. It should be no surprise that if little effort is expended, little return should be expected. Jesus uses a parable in Luke 19:11-27 to encourage his followers to be wise and industrious, and to illustrate that the least risky path is not always the preferred one. Pastor Chuck Franco will preach a sermon titled“Reaching Our Potential” about this on Sunday, Oct. 4.

The Wednesday Bible study will conclude the series by Dr. Nicole Martin on Oct. 7 in Jeremiah 52:1-34 with a message titled, “Remember and Reflect.” This scripture recounts the fulfillment of Jeremiah’s prophecies and describes final destruction and exile, as well as the fate of some of the highlighted characters who have served God’s purpose through this painful time. After the final video lesson, the class will share insights and personal application from this study.
