Abilene: Sept. 26

Abilene will host its monthly boot scootin’ dance Saturday, Sept. 26, at Clubhouse 2, starting at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6. Reserving tables is prohibited.

Abilene is Leisure World’s No. 1 country rock band, going strong for over 20 years.

The band features Jim Greer on drums; Vickie Van Ert on vocals; Greg Johnson on keyboards and vocals; and Bob McAlister on bass and vocals, and new lead guitarist Lee Offenhaur, a 40-year veteran of the Orange County music scene.

All concerts are free, but tips are accepted and appreciated.
