Pick up 12 pounds of produce and a roll of quarters today

Leisure World residents can purchase a 12-pound box of fresh produce for $10 cash from the Leisure World Lions Club’s monthly produce box program today, Aug. 27, from 10 a.m.-noon in the Clubhouse 6 parking lot.

Residents can also participate in the club’s new quarter exchange program. Residents can exchange a $10 bill for a $10 roll of quarters. The simple one-for-one exchange is meant to make laundry day easier for residents who may struggle to locate quarters elsewhere. This is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

During the event, LW Lions Club volunteers will be on hand to greet residents, manage distribution, and ensure everyone receives a box of seasonal produce. The convenient outdoor location at Clubhouse 6 makes pickup quick and accessible for all.

Residents must bring their Leisure World GRF ID cards to participate in either program. This requirement helps keep the program dedicated to serving the Leisure World community. The Lions Club remains committed to promoting wellness, independence and neighborly connection.
