Humanist Association

The LW Humanist Association will meet Sunday, Sept. 6, in Clubhouse 3, Room 1, at 10:30 a.m. Bob Richert, Rachael Lemhberg and Dave Silva will give a presentation on Humanism’s “Ten Commitments.”

The Ten Commitments are altruism, critical thinking, empathy, environmentalism, ethical development, global awareness, humility, peace and social justice, responsibility and service and participation.

Humanists believe following these moral principles will make each person happier and better, and result in making the world a better place.

Each commitment goes into some detail and is not dogmatic, but unlike commandments they are open to personal interpretation.
