Shuffl eboard Club will begin new season Sept. 15 at courts behind CH 1

As summer draws to a close, the Shuffleboard Club is gearing up for another season of league play, starting Sept. 15.

Residents are invited to come to the courts located behind Clubhouse 1 and give it a try. There is open play on Monday mornings from 9-11, where veteran players are available to show people the ropes, which includes setting up the courts for play, cleaning up the courts after play, scoring and strategies to improve one’s game. In addition to league play every week—Tuesday night and Friday morning—the club holds many opportunities for getting together. There are many potlucks and special tournaments throughout the year, including for Halloween, Christmas, Turkey Shoot, St. Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Ham Shoot, and the LaCascia Memorial Tournament, to name a few. Games are played, photo booths are fun, and Santa might even visit.
