Foundation receives state recognition

GOLDEN AGE FOUNDATION

The Golden Age Foundation (GAF) received a certificate of recognition at its inaugural multicultural festival on July 18 from the California State Senate and State of California.

The GAF was recognized for its dedication to celebrating the diverse cultures, traditions and heritage that enrich the Leisure World community and brings residents together in the spirit of unity and friendship.

The multicultural event also reflects the GAF’s commitment to fostering connection, inclusion, and cultural appreciation for all.

The certificate was presented by Seal Beach Mayor Pro Term Ben Wong and Zechariah Jauregui, a representative from the offi ce of California State Sen. Tony Strickland in District 36. GAF president Anna Derby accepted the certificate of recognition on behalf of the GAF.
