American Latino Club

The American Latino Club will meet on Thursday, Aug. 13, from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. This month’s cultural highlight will be the country of Panama. Lunch will be provided by +57 Colombian Cuisine in Stanton.

Meal choices for the meeting are a lentil, chicken, rice, plantains and avocado bowl; a pork belly (chicharron), rice, beans, plantains and avocado bowl; or a corn dough beef and potato empanada with one cheese arepa, rice, beans, and avocado. The beverages included with the meal will be tea, lemonade, water and coffee.

The meal is $22 for members and $25 for guests and includes adessert. Memberswhowant to bring their own lunch must $5 (includes a beverage).

People must submit their meal choice and payment no later than Wednesday, Aug. 5, to club Treasurer Rachel Fullum by U.S. mail or dropping payment off in her mailbox at 1371 Oakmont Road, 150-L. The American Latino Club welcomes all guests; however, it cannot guarantee guest meals unless they are properly ordered. There are no extra meals.

Following lunch, guest speaker Albert Guerra will do a presentation titled “Tech Made Easy,” aimed at simplifying modern technology for seniors.
