Sunshine Club

General surgeon Dr. Alisan Fathalizadeh will speak to the Sunshine Club on Friday, July 10, in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, at 10 a.m.

Dr. Fathalizadeh will speak about general surgery procedures.

All resident are welcome to join this meeting to learn about the types of common procedures performed, how a surgeon collaborates with staff during a procedure and patient care before, during and after a surgery.

Dr. Fathalizadeh is a board-certified UCI-Health bariatric surgeon. She earned her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in East Lansing. She completed an internship and residency in general surgery at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, followed by a fellowship in advanced laparoscopic surgery and flexible surgical endoscopy at the Cleveland Clinic. Each UCI-Health surgical specialist is part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team that delivers comprehensive care to meet each person’s individual needs.

All residents are welcome. The Sunshine Club does not require membership fees, but donations are appreciated. Refreshments will be served at the meeting.
