Produce box program returns July 23 at CH 6

Leisure World residents can once again enjoy a generous supply of farm fresh produce when the LW Lions Club Produce Box Program returns on Thursday, July 23, from 10 a.m.-noon in the Clubhouse 6 parking lot.

For $10 cash, residents will receive a 12-pound box of fresh fruits and vegetables, sourced straight from local farms.

The assortment of produce in the box typically includes a seasonal mix of staples and favorites. This provides an easy, affordable way for residents to boost nutrition and stretch grocery budgets.

Residents must show their GRF ID card to participate. LW Lions Club volunteers will be onsite to assist with distribution and help keep the line moving smoothly.

The Leisure World Lions encourage neighbors to spread the word so every resident who could benefit from this program knows about the opportunity.
