The annual GRF Life Options Expo on June 26 drew a crowd of residents to Veterans Plaza and Clubhouse 4. They spent the day browsing more than 80 booths to learn more about nutrition and other senior services, caregiving options, assisted living facilities, medical suppliers, decluttering, local transportation and more. Music, food and raffles lent a festive air to the day A total of 12 Golden Age Foundation (GAF) volunteers managed the registration desk signing in vendors from 8-10 a.m. Three other volunteers called raffles throughout the day, giving away 60 gift cards, beach towel sets, electronics, plants, a wheeled shopping cart and other prizes.
The GAF provided200 sandwiches for vendors, volunteers, staff and musicians in the Veterans Plaza. GAF volunteers also staffed its table to greet shareholders and explain what the GAF does for the community.
Thank you to event sponsors Caring Transitions, Ivy Park Seal Beach, Mission Hospice and Westminster Memorial Park.
