The June 24 Democratic Club meeting featured Jeffrey Cardenas of the Democratic Party of Orange County (DPOC). Cardenas provided an insightful overview of regional operations and shared an enlightening breakdown of how campaign funds are strategically allocated to support various candidates.
He also educated club members on the crucial process of “ballot curing.”
Furthermore, he emphasized the profound impact of grassroots canvassing within local neighborhoods, reminding everyone that these local conversations drive truly measurable and meaningful results.
He warmly encouraged members to extend volunteer efforts to the broader DPOC community by considering roles like poll watching, for example. It was an inspiring reminder of the difference people can make both here at home and throughout the county.
The next membership meeting will be on July 22 at 1:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. Everyone is invited.
The club will welcome California State Assembly candidate Chris Kluwe, who is a familiar and welcome face due to previous visits to the club. After successfully advancing through the June 2 primary, he is set to face Republican Gracey Van Der Mark in the general election on Nov. 3. Kluwe will share his vision for the 72nd District as well as his strategic roadmap for securing a victory in November.
