Meals on Wheels of Long Beach, Inc., delivers fresh meals for $11.50 per day Monday-Friday, between 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Deliveries include an 8-ounce carton of 1% milk. Contact Client Manager Caron Adler at 562-439-5000, ext. 1, or visit www.mowlb.org for an application or to cancel a meal for the following day, before 9 a.m.
Thursday, June 18: Stuffed bell pepper, carrots, garlic chive mashed potatoes, cake, ham and cheese sandwich with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and creamy cucumber salad.
Friday, June 19: No service. Closed in observance of Juneteenth.
Monday, June 22: Oven-baked chicken, corn bread stuffing, mixed vegetables, applesauce, chicken salad sandwich with spinach, tomato, cucumber, and red onion and dill salad.
Tuesday, June 23: Spaghetti and meatballs, broccoli, dinner roll, banana, chicken Caesar salad with romaine lettuce, croutons, Caesar dressing and crackers.
Wednesday, June 24: Chicken enchilada casserole with red sauce, black beans, zucchini, pudding, taco salad with chicken, tomatoes, corn, beans, cheese, salsa dressing and crackers.
