Woman’s Club donates to EIC
EMERGENCY INFORMATION COUNCIL
The Leisure World Emergency Information Council (EIC) gratefully received a generous financial donation from the Woman’s Club of Leisure World. The LW Woman’s Club is a nonprofit philanthropic organization and was one of the first clubs formed in Leisure World. One of its goals is to raise and donate money each month to charitable organizations in the local community that help others, such as the EIC. The EIC is a local charity and an umbrella organization founded to fund and coordinate emergency response planning and actions among clubs and residents of Leisure World; Boots on Ground is one such initiative.
Jackie Dunagan, president of the EIC, accepted the donation at the Woman’s Club’s meeting in May. She described how the funds would use the donation to support the various emergency preparedness initiatives the EIC sponsors.
Everyone is welcome to become a member of the EIC. Membership is free. For more information, contact EIC President Jackie Dunagan at jackie919@gmail.com or 562-431-7479 or visit the EIC website at www.eiclwsb.org. —Nick Massetti
