The following is the Security incident report for the month of March. It has been edited for brevity and clarity.

FIRE: 2

• March 25, 7:35 p.m., Mutual 11

A resident smelled burning plastic on the front porch. Orange County Fire Authority arrived at scene.

•March 25, 6:21 p.m., CH 4

A burning smell from the ceramics studio was reported. There was no smoke, fire or damage at the scene.

MISDEMEANOR THEFT (under $950):

•March 2, 11 a.m., Mutual 4

An unlocked bike was removed from carport.

•March 4, 10:44 a.m., 1.8 Acres

A resident reported garden tools were missing.

• March 10, 5:20 p.m., Mutual 15

An unknown person removed items from a resident’s vehicle.

• March 11, 3:52 p.m, Mutual 7

An unknown person removed a resident’s scooter cover.

• March 11, 12:08 p.m., 1.8 Acres

A resident’s tomatoes were removed from her garden plot.

• March 16, 3:59 p.m., Mutual 11

An unknown person removed a license plate from a resident’s vehicle.

• March 25, 12:15 p.m. Mutual 11

An unknown person removed a resident’s garden hose.

An unknown person removed a resident’s potted plants.

FELONY THEFT (over $950): 2

• March 23, 12:37 p.m., Mutual 11

A resident stated someone entered and removed jewelry and documents from her unit last summer.

• March 28, 5:59 p.m., Mutual 15

A resident reported jewelry and other items missing from her unit.

VANDALISM: 7

•March 3, 5:14 p.m. Mutual A resident found a screw in his vehicle tire and believes it was on purpose.

•March 3, 12:55 p.m., Trust

A resident reported a damaged USPS mailbox.

•March 5, 11:15 a.m., Trust

A stop sign and pole were found bent and damaged.

•March 12, 2:23 a.m. Mutual

A resident stated an unknown person broke his window.

•March 14, 5:04 p.m., Mutual

A resident stated an unknown person damaged her garden mister.

•March 19, 12:46 a.m., Trust

A resident stated an unknown person flattened a golf cart tire.

• March 27, 12:57 p.m., Mutual

A resident stated an unknown person damaged the gas cap to his vehicle.

A resident stated a neighbor knocks on her wall constantly.

A resident complained of noise from neighboring unit.

A vehicle drove through a stop sign and struck another vehicle.

•March 11, 11:28 a.m., Golden Rain and St. Andrews A vendor’s vehicle struck a traffic light.

• March 17, 9:15 a.m., Main Gate

A tow truck struck the barrier arm.

•March 17, 8:40 a.m., Golden Rain Road

A resident was driving the wrong way on Golden Rain Road.

•March 18, 1:37 p.m., Mutual 5 Carport

A resident struck a parked vehicle while reversing.

•March 27, 12:53 p.m., Mutual 2 Carport

A resident’s parked car sustained

damage to the rear panel.

•March 28, 3:15 p.m., St. Andrews Exit Gate

A resident struck the gate with a side mirror and fled the scene.

A golf cart backed into wall at the clubhouse.

A dog attacked another dog. The smaller dog suffered significant injuries.

Dogs on a leash lunged at a resident’s cats.

Security assisted a Mutual director with an occupancy issue.

• March 29, 3:11 p.m., Mutual 1

A resident stated the Mutual removed a tree out of his garden without his permission.

• March 30, 7:38 p.m., Mutual 4

A resident and family member were involved in a verbal altercation. Police arrived at scene and kept the peace.
