LW Men’s Golf League

Seventeen golfers of the LW Men’s Golf League played at the David L. Baker Golf Course in Fountain Valley on March 26.

Every golfer shot net under par with several extremely good scores.

Closest to the pin on the 120-yard par 3 third hole was Randy Massaro, and on the 140-yard 12th hole was Clay Fisher. Jim Goltra and Sam Choi had fewest putts for the A flight, and Bruno Santillo had fewest in the B. There were eight birdies—three by Jae Choi, two by Santillo, and one each by Bob Munn, Sam Choi, and Goltra.

Net score equals gross minus handicap. A flight winners: Sam Choi, 12 under, first place; Jae Choi and Dave LaCascia, 9 under, second; Seon Kim, 7 under, third; Larry Hillhouse and Fisher, 6 under, fourth; Goltra and Fujio Norihiro, 4 under, fifth; Kyle Van and Gary Stivers, 2 under, sixth.

B flight winners: Santillo, 8 under, first place; Massaro, 7 under, second; Tom Ross, 5 under, third; Won Park, Bob Munn and Dom Bautista, 4 under, fourth; Ron Jackson, 3 under, fifth.

The golf league plays every Monday at four local courses. Advance league reservations are required with a sign-up sheet available at each round.

There is a prize pool for each round that players are not obligated to enter. Rewards are given for low net in each flight, birdies, closest to the pin on two par threes, and for the lowest number of putts in each flight. Holes-in-one and eagles are generously rewarded.
