Congregation Sholom
Congregation Sholom will hold a service for the end of Passover today, April 9 at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 9, as well as on Zoom with Rabbi Mike Mymon. Rabbi Eric Dangott will lead the service on Friday, April 10, via Zoom at 6:30 p.m. Rabbi Mymon will lead the hybrid service on Saturday, April 11, in Clubhouse 3, Room 9, and on Zoom at 10 a.m.
The Torah reading will be Shemini from Leviticus. Shemini (Eighth) opens with the consecration of the Mishkan (Tabernacle). Two of Aaron’s sons are consumed by a fire sent from God when they attempt to offer a “strange fire.” God describes the animals, birds and fish that are permissible and prohibited for consumption, as well as some laws of ritual purity.
