Celebration of life honors Vice President Luann Jester
PICKLEBALL CLUB
The Pickleball Club recently hosted a celebration of life in honor of its vice president, Luann Jester, who passed away in February. The event brought together a community of friends, family, colleagues and club members to commemorate Jester’s vibrant spirit and lasting impact.
Jester was a multifaceted individual whose passions extended far beyond the pickleball court. Not only was she a dedicated club leader and player, but she was also known for her love of dancing, her career in early childhood education, as a casino dealer, her adventurous travels around the world, and her reputation as the ultimate party animal. Her infectious energy and zest for life inspired those around her, making her a cherished figure in every community she touched.
The celebration drew more than 175 people. Attendees included members of the Pickleball Club, her family and work associates. The gathering provided a space for sharing stories, laughter and memories, while offering a generous buffet, dance band and casino gaming tables. The event was filled with heartfelt tributes, music, and moments of reflection. Friends and colleagues recounted tales of Luann’s spirited dancing, her skill at the card tables, her passion for crafting and art, and her adventures abroad. Many spoke of her unwavering positivity and generous nature. The Pickleball Club and community honored Jester in a manner befitting her personality—full of joy, camaraderie, color and celebration.
In celebrating Luann Jester’s life, the club not only mourned her loss but also reaffirmed the values she embodied: friendship, enthusiasm and a love for life.
