Sunshine Club
Colorectal surgeon Dr. Ketan Thanki will speak to the Sunshine Club on Friday, April 3, in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, at 10 a.m.
During the meeting, Dr. Thanki give a presentation about conditions such as constipation, difficulty with bowel movements, changes in stool patterns, and bowel leakage and other issues people may experience as well as go through symptoms, diagnoses and treatments.
Dr. Thanki is a fellowship-trained, board-certified colorectal surgeon who specializes in benign and malignant disease of the colon, rectum and anus with the MemorialCare Todd Cancer Institute at Long Beach Medical Center. He earned his medical degree from Saint George’s University School of Medicine, a masters of medical science in gastrointestinal diseases, and completed his residency in general surgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He then completed a fellowship in colorectal surgery from Medstar Washington Hospital Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Colon & Rectal Surgeons and American Board of Surgery.
All residents are welcome to join this meeting. The Sunshine Club does not require membership fees, but donations are appreciated. Refreshment will be served a the meeting.
