Holy Week Schedule
Maundy Thursday: Hand washing and Holy Communion service is today, April 2, at 10:30 a.m.
Good Friday: Passion and Holy Communion service is on April 3 at 10:30 a.m.
Easter: Holy Communion Service is on April 5 at 10:30 a.m.
The Gospel lesson for this week is from Matthew 28:1-10.
April 5 is Easter, which is the most important day of the Christian Church year. It is more important than Christmas. All humans were born; all will die someday, but what all will not do is rise from the death through their own power. This is what makes Jesus different: He is God.
There are two Gospel stories in the Bible. The amazing thing about both of them is that it is announced to women first that Jesus has risen. In one Gospel account, the women are met with disbelief from Jesus’ disciples and in the other, Peter goes out to check to see if the women’s story is true.
The bazaar committee has decided to meet together for the assembly of crafts on all Mondays of the month of April at 10 a.m. The next meeting is Monday, April 6.
The group will meet downstairs in the Fellowship Hall. There will be preplanned projects with directions, guidance, and all needed materials. This is for the final preparations of the Spring Bazaar on April 30-May 2.
