Pastor’s Message

“Jesus is risen!” That was the message given to the women that arrived at the tomb of Jesus on the third morning after the death of Christ.

That same day, two disciples were walking and talking about the things that had happened concerning Jesus. The risen savior himself came up and walked with them, but they did not recognize him. Jesus asked the men what they were discussing. They incredulously responded, “Are you the only person in Jerusalem that doesn’t know the things that have been going on there the last few days? He was a prophet and did many things before God and all the people. And now it is three days since he was slain. And now they say he has risen.”

Jesus then began questioning why they were unwilling to put their trust in everything the prophets had written throughout the Jewish Scriptures and why did they still have disbelief that the Messiah, Jesus, was who he said he was. As Christians celebrate Easter Sunday this year, may they also have trust in him and that he lives.
